The MP NEET UG Mop-Up Round offers a final opportunity for many aspirants. Understanding your eligibility is the first step towards securing a seat. Here’s who can participate:

• Candidates who have qualified NEET UG 2026.
• Aspirants who are already registered on the DME counselling portal (dme.mponline.gov.in) from previous rounds do not need to register again.
• Fresh registrants who successfully applied between September 28 and October 2, 2026.
• Only candidates whose names appear on the revised state merit list, released on October 3, 2026, are eligible to proceed with choice filling.
• It is mandatory for all Mop-Up Round participants to fill fresh choices, even if they participated in earlier rounds.

Careful choice filling is crucial for the Mop-Up Round. Follow these steps to ensure your preferences are correctly submitted:

• Visit the Official Portal: Navigate to dme.mponline.gov.in.
• Login: Use your registered credentials (Application ID and Password) to log in to your candidate account.
• Access Choice Filling: Locate the 'Choice Filling for Mop-Up Round' link on your dashboard.
• Select Preferences: Carefully choose your desired medical and dental colleges from the available list, considering the vacancy list released on October 3, 2026.
• Arrange Order: Prioritize your choices. The order of preference is critical as seat allotment is based on merit and your chosen sequence.
• Save Choices: Regularly save your selections to avoid losing progress.
• Lock Choices: Once you are absolutely certain of your preferences, lock your choices before the deadline of October 7, 2026 (11:59 PM). Remember, locked choices cannot be modified.

Before you finalize your choices, a thorough review can prevent future disappointments. Here’s a checklist of what every candidate must verify:

• Review Vacancy List: Cross-check the official vacancy list (released October 3, 2026) to see which colleges and courses have available seats.
• Eligibility Criteria: Ensure you meet all specific eligibility requirements for your chosen colleges/courses.
• Preference Order: Double-check the sequence of your selected colleges. Your highest preference should be at the top.
• Personal Details: Verify all personal and academic details displayed on the portal are accurate.
• Contact Information: Ensure your registered mobile number and email ID are correct for receiving updates.

Once you've successfully locked your choices, the next phase involves awaiting the allotment results and preparing for reporting. Keep these points in mind:

The Mop-Up Round allotment result will be published on October 10, 2026. Candidates are advised to regularly check the official DME portal for updates.

If you are allotted a seat, you must report to the respective college between October 11 and October 14, 2026 (by 6:00 PM) with all required documents and fees. Failure to report within this window will lead to forfeiture of your allotted seat.
